Ashalatha, Scientist, IISc, Bangalore
I have seen a few summers in life and spent a good 35 years working with one of the premiere scientific and technological research institution. Life can become a very routine and monotonous experience after you think you have completed all the responsibilities in life. I do a lot of things that keep me occupied apart from work and family – I play Veena and love gardening. But I was missing “something” in life. It is difficult to describe what that “something” is. I was not sad but still I think that the genuine laughter and happiness was eluding me.
Until I did the DSN! It feels like I found the spark which has ignited my being completely. My friends tell me that there is this wonderful glow in my face. Even at my workplace, people do feel a certain shift in me now.
Everything I do now, I do it with so much more love. When I play the Veena, I am completely immersed in the music I play. I feel this intimate connection even with the flowers blooming in my garden, which I noticed, are blooming like never before. I have this beautiful sense of belonging with the world around me and I am having this experience of holding the Universe within me. And let me tell you, when you start living like this each day becomes a celebration.
Total fulfillment!
